The Alchemist

March 29, 2016

In this vessel is the

Sun and the Moon,

Light and Darkness,

Good and Evil,

God and the Devil,

Heaven and Hell.

In this vessel,

They are contained,

But not controlled.

They lurk in oceanic depths

Hidden from distracted eyes.

I scry the midnight ocean

That I may know them,

That this cauldron does not

Boil over, spilling my Demons

Upon the plain of Being.

I, the Alchemist, perform

The inner transmutation, living in

Contradiction, Doubt, and Ambiguity;

And yet I find Freedom.
